Support Us

Green Door Printmaking Studio is actively working to create a supportive, vibrant and diverse local printmaking community. We run on a not-for-profit basis. All revenue made through our workshops, membership and extra activities is funnelled back into the business making the studio a better equipped and more supportive community. If you would like to support us and what we are doing, there are a number of ways to get involved.

Materials & equipment donations

At the heart of our environmental ethos, Green Door actively promotes the need to reuse & recycle. We are always looking for donations of cotton rags, newspapers and art/printmaking materials to keep the day-to-day studio use going. If you have any of these items (or even some printmaking equipment!) that you would like to donate, please contact us.

Take part in one of our workshops

By taking part in one of our printmaking workshops, not only are you supporting your own creative learning and expanding your skills, you are also a part of the printmaking engine that is keeping Green Door thriving. All of our courses and workshops are suitable for beginners. View current workshops diary.

Become a studio member

Unlike a lot of other creative pursuits that can become solitary, printmaking in an open access environment can be a communal and often surprisingly inspiring and rewarding activity. By becoming a studio member you become a part of this community and actively expanding our ever-growing supportive network.

How your donation helps

At Green Door, we are always developing and researching the latest techniques in innovative printmaking and through the purchasing of materials and equipment for our studios we are able to do this. Our current aim is to invest in a large-scale etching press, and we are raising funds in order to purchase one. This new press will become the pinacle facility for our artists and visiting pupils, enabling them to produce the large-scale work which they are currently unable to do (our largest press bed can print up to A3).
