How to Find Us...![]() On Foot: Green Door is an approximate 20 minute (1 mile) brisk walk from the city centre. The most direct route (although not the most scenic) is via the Spot along the Osmaston Road taking the third right turning after the Royal Crown Derby China factory into Douglas Street. Take the right turn on the brow of the hill into Malcolm Street and the main entrance to the St James Centre is on your left. By Bus: The main service from the city centre is the 38 which follows the above On Foot route: ask for the second stop on Douglas Street on the brow of the hill from town. The same service is also the best choice for travellers from the Sinfin side of Derby. Access from the Allenton Chellaston areas need to connect with the 60/61 service and alight at Ivy Square at the foot of Douglas Street. By Train: The rail station is a 15 minute walk from the St James Centre via London Road, Bateman Street, Osmaston Road and Douglas Street. More convenient but expensive is a taxi from the rank alongside the station forecourt. By Car: Click on the above map to access the Google Maps route planner. There are free off-road parking facilities just beside the Centre. |
